Job Title: Laboratory Engineer

Our client, a leading metalworking company, is seeking a skilled Laboratory Engineer to join their R&D team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate laboratory activities and ensure the development of new products and improvements to existing ones.
  2. Test and validate technological solutions and project proposals for new products and product improvements.
  3. Set up, execute, and analyze safety, functionality, performance, energy consumption, reliability, and noise tests according to relevant standards.
  4. Diagnose and resolve causes of failures or malfunctions detected during testing or analysis of product quality issues related to mechanical, thermal, electrical, and electronic aspects.
  5. Collaborate with other company functions to support analysis and continuous improvement actions.
  6. Supervise laboratory activities, developing test plans and coordinating resources and priorities in relation to project objectives and priorities assigned by the R&D manager.
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures to improve test efficiency, speed, and quality (using static methodologies such as DOE), with particular attention to instrument maintenance and calibration.
  8. Ensure data collection for all laboratory tests performed and maintain internal records and documentation relevant to all laboratory tests performed.
  9. Instrument the DUT (Device Under Test).
  10. Support the development of prototypes for testing.
Required Skills:
  1. University degree in Engineering or scientific field.
  2. Experience in laboratory environments.
  3. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  4. Ability to read electrical and functional schematics and basic CAD knowledge; practical skills in measurement instruments (e.g., micrometer and amperometer); metrology knowledge, especially in temperature, electrical parameters, and fluid dynamics; practical skills in hydraulics; preferred F-Gas patent.
  5. Microsoft Office knowledge.
  6. English language proficiency B1.
  7. Attention to detail, ability to work both independently and in teams.
  8. Available for occasional travel in Italy and abroad.
  9. Experience in the HVAC sector and knowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, product standards IEC 60335-1, PED Directive 2014/68/UE, and technical standards EN 378 are considered a plus.

Preferred location: Treviso province.
