Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Topcon. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing in-office and laboratory test benches, as well as developing software for testing and automatic test cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop in-office and laboratory test benches, including 19" server racks, devices under testing, GNSS boards, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Develop software for testing and automatic test cases using selected programming languages.
  • Perform product verification, validation, and R&D activities.
  • Prepare, execute, and create test reports for tests performed in field and laboratory conditions.

Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering discipline, ideally in Electrical or Informatic field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Software Test Engineer field, preferably connected to equipment performance testing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from various technical and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and activities.
  • A sense of accountability for the appearance of the test site and test vehicles.
  • Intermediate/ good level in English language is required.

Preferred Candidate Requirements:

  • Intermediate in Russian – multicultural environment.
  • Average 3 years of experience in testing (HW, FW, or SW).
  • Understanding of basic principles of radio: antenna, receiver, transmitter.

Working Conditions:

  • The job will be performed in an outdoor as well as in a lab environment with documentation being completed on a PC in the office.
  • Due to the spread of employees around the world, meeting outside of normal business hours will likely be required.
  • Occasional travel could be required.
