Production Supervisor Job Description
Ascend Performance Materials, the premium provider of high-quality chemicals, fibers, and plastics, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Mozzate plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving one unit performance to all operational entitlement with respect to safety, yields, usability, reliability, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze production plans and implement them, manage production parameters in SAP, and propose adjustments as needed.
- Guide the production team and site leadership in the execution of the scheduled production.
- Participate in and drive the continuous improvement of operations, proposing changes in equipment, operational practices, and production processes.
- Facilitate and organize shift changes and extrusion training programs for operators.
- Master troubleshooting, investigation, and resolution of process and product deviations.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to manufacturing processes, including OEE documentation and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure a culture of employee engagement, teamwork, ownership, trust, creativity, innovation, and growth.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of extrusion processes and polymers.
- Plastics/Chemicals/Mechanical engineer or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience.
- Good English knowledge (written and spoken).
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical experience preferred).
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership and team motivation skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, and open-mindedness.
