Accountant - Financial Operations Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at TotalEnergies. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations
    • Support daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, revenue and expenditure, stock accounting, and fixed assets.
    • Maintain accurate and timely processing of general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.
    • Handle monthly accounting closing operations in SAP.
    • Ensure correct bank reconciliation with the general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Support in the preparation and publication of the Quarterly Financial Reporting Package (CAP) in liaison with the Accounting Manager.
    • Assist in the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statement and related documents (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow statements, Explanatory Notes).
    • Regularly prepare and verify Financial and fiscal reports or statements (VAT register, Libro Giornale, Libro Mastro, Libro Inventari, Libro Cespiti, Libro magazzino).
    • Prepare reports for the Italian Statistics Institution (ISTAT).
  • Inventory Management
    • Support in the preparation of Monthly Billing Statement and periodic stock analysis and reconciliation with the general ledger.
    • Participate in the yearly physical stock inventory on site.
  • Account Management
    • Manage ageing account payables and receivables.
    • Perform SOX controls related to the Accounting processes.
    • Provide ad-hoc support on various yearly audits (accounting, JV, Company).
    Requirements
    • Minimum Accounting or Controlling certificate; Bachelor is a plus, preferably focused in Finance or Accounting.
    • 2-3 years experience.
    • Very good knowledge of English language (written and spoken).
    • Excellent technical skills and demonstrated ability to master databases (Excel) and ERP SAP system.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
