If you are passionate about contributing to a low-carbon future, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Weight Control Engineer to be a part of our Engineering team in Rome, reporting directly to the Modular Design Section Head.

In this role, you will be integral to the Modular Design Section, which oversees the management of proposals, basic engineering design, and detailed engineering design for modularized onshore projects.

As a Weight Control Engineer, your key interactions will be with project teams, procurement, construction, and various engineering disciplines internally, as well as with clients, yard fabricators, and transport contractors externally.

Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring that weight management practices align with project and client specifications, as well as adhering to international codes, company standards, and industry regulations. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing Weight Control Procedures;
  • Regularly preparing Weight Control Reports;
  • Collaborating with the Project Management Team and discipline leaders to gather weight data and center of gravity information;
  • Assessing data from all engineering disciplines for overall consistency with plant layout;
  • Evaluating any weight deviations or center of gravity changes and their implications on project limits, implementing corrective actions as necessary;
  • Monitoring weight implications arising from design modifications;

Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from individuals who meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Naval Engineering;
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Italian and English;
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel;

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas sector.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel;
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD;
  • Experience with Microstation;
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Review;
  • Competence in Navisworks;
