Navigation Algorithm Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and test of visual-based processing algorithms for integration in new multi-sensor navigation products.

• Analyze features and select image sensors (cameras, LIDARs, etc.) for navigation purposes.
• Define requirements, design, model, and simulate visual-based navigation algorithms in Matlab/Simulink or similar environment related to image processing.
• Support the integration of image processing algorithms with other navigation sensor fusion algorithms and evaluate the integrity of the solution.
• Support the definition of test plans, video sensor calibration procedure, execution of test campaigns, and analysis of results.
• Support software coding, testing, and qualification of the image processing algorithms.

• Master's degree in Aerospace, Computer Science, Robotics, or Automation.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of integrated digital systems and related architectures, and of image sensors and related calibration procedures.
• Consolidated knowledge in the use of image processing and modeling tools such as Matlab/Simulink.
• Consolidated knowledge of image processing algorithms and sensor fusion techniques.
• Able to work autonomously and/or in a team.
• Attitude to problem-solving and achieving results within time and cost constraints.
• Good knowledge of English in writing and speaking (knowledge of additional languages is a plus).
