Job Responsibilities

Therapy Development:

The main objective of this position is to establish Impella & Heart Recovery as the new standard of care in the Piemonte and Liguria region in collaboration with our local distribution partner.

This will be achieved by establishing our brand and training medical professionals and hospital staff on the appropriate use of Impella to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.

Furthermore, we aim to leverage existing accounts for deeper and wider Impella therapy penetration and build relationships with critical decision-makers and key opinion leaders in the assigned area.

Account Management/Account Training:

This role will enable and drive patient growth and clinical performance in key centers throughout the region for all our indications by priority.

We will coordinate our strategy with partners, implement/lead clinical activities, and establish a transparent case reporting system like our direct distribution markets.

Patient Support:

This position will improve patient outcomes constantly by implementing the latest Abiomed clinical strategies, supporting clinical staff within the cath lab, OR, and ICU.

We will perform After Action Review's with MDs following each case, establish peer-to-peer networks across the region to share best practices, and plan regular visits to all institutions with active Impella programs to monitor activity and collect clinically relevant data.

Distribution Partners Support:

This role will establish strong relationships with our distribution partner contacts and manage them.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a technical field such as Perfusion or Radiology.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in English and a good knowledge of English, a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical devices with a strong background in cardiovascular space, preferably heart failure.

Experience in direct patient support in a Cath Lab, ICU, or CCU is preferred, as well as a proven track record of success in launching high-value therapies and achieving high growth rates.
