About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Atlas Copco. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and efficient machine designs that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop 3D-CAD models of chillers, coolers, and components using Inventor software
- Create detailed 2D designs and perform first strength analysis on designs using FEA
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and service, to ensure design meets customer requirements
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, instructions, and documentation for production
- Support other departments with technical information and provide training as needed
- Finalize and release drawings, BOMs, and documentation for production in our PLM system
Requirements
- Experience in a design and development environment, preferably in the chiller technology industry
- Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English and good command of Italian
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience
