Job Description

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace CAD Design Specialist to join its team in the Materials & Technologies Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and refine geometrical designs for aerospace components using CAD software, collaborating closely with the product project manager.
  • Define parametric CAD models for the optimization of the geometry updating phases that are necessary during the various design and verification steps. Utilize 3D, 2D, and surface design modules.
  • Perform 2D drawings of parts by setting production phases, work cycles, and integration phases, interfacing with material executors of processes.
  • Define construction tolerances and perform critical analysis of the impact on integration.
  • Define dimensional control specifications of parts to be manufactured.
  • Perform preliminary FEM structural analyses to identify critical areas in relation to dimensioning loads during the modeling phase.
  • Size seals, flanges, and bolts between various parts.
  • Elaborate technical documents relating to mechanical design activities performed (technical notes, dimensional control specifications, configuration of product drawings, etc.).
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Space/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing.
  • Structural simulations.
  • Design of seals, bolts, and flanges.
  • Knowledge of CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS, Microsoft Office SWs.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic liquid propulsion and its basic components.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
