We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Senior Consultant to join our Advanced Data and Analytics team in Milan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and modeling structured data using advanced statistical methods and implementing algorithms and software needed to perform analyses.

You will also be responsible for building recommendation engines, spam classifiers, sentiment analyzers and classifiers for unstructured and semi-structured data, as well as clustering large amounts of user-generated content and processing data in large-scale environments using Hadoop and Spark.

Additionally, you will perform machine learning, natural language, and statistical analysis methods, such as classification, collaborative filtering, association rules, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, and validation methods.

You will drive client engagements focused on Big Data and Advanced Business Analytics, in diverse domains such as product development, marketing research, public policy, optimization, and risk management; communicate results and educate others through reports and presentations.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Operations Research, or related fields, as well as proven experience as a Data Scientist with participation in Advanced Data Analysis challenges.

You will also have experience with command-line scripting, data structures and algorithms, processing large amounts of data in a cloud environment, and knowledge of data extraction and processing using MapReduce, Pig, and/or Hive.

Furthermore, you will have knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, SCALA, and Ruby, as well as the ability to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot big data infrastructure, such as distributed processing paradigms, stream processing and databases such as Hadoop, Storm, SQL and Solr.

You will also have strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, or cognitive computing, as well as proficiency in analytics and Data Science tools such as R, SAS, Phyton, Knime, Spark, and Matlab.

Finally, you will have proficiency in English, ideally improved through an educational/working experience abroad, and a willingness to work side by side with clients according to project needs.
