Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technician, Data Center Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Data Center Operations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining the electrical and mechanical systems within our data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for our customers.
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Work 12-hour shifts (4 days on, 4 days off) and take daily operational readings of all electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Manage external vendors and ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field with practical and theoretical knowledge in key electrical competencies, and/or knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).
- Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issues.
- Driving license valid in Italy and willingness to travel between data center sites, and internationally if required.
