Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Tagetik Software S.r.l. as a Cloud SysOps Engineer. As a key member of our Cloud Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS or Azure
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with cloud-based applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud service issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Monitor and maintain the security posture of our cloud infrastructure
  • Automate and optimize application availability, scalability, and performance monitoring
  • Participate in the development of new ideas and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure process repeatability and document any changes to infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and networking
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in maintaining and monitoring backup systems
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience in customer management
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English
  • Working experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira or Salesforce)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of virtualization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of configuration management (e.g. Chef) and cloud automation (e.g. Terraform)
  • Programming language (e.g. Python, Ruby)
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices
  • AWS or Azure certifications
