Metrology Laboratory Technician

The Metrology Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of measurements performed by Marposs products. Reporting directly to the LAT-accredited Metrology Laboratory Manager, this position involves performing coordinate measurements using high-precision instrumentation and evaluating the results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform coordinate measurements with high-precision instrumentation
  • Evaluate measurement results and ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with the Metrology Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance with laboratory standards
Requirements
  • High school degree in mechanics or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of technical drawing in the field of GPS (ISO 14638) / GD&T (ASME Y14.5M)
  • Training in CMM programming software and laboratory equipment
  • Curiosity, passion, and desire to learn, with aptitude for using complex information technology tools
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a confined environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Leitz machines (Quindos software)
  • Knowledge of Taylor Hobson roundness and roughness gauges
  • Elements of CREO and Autocad
  • Previous experience in gear measurement or construction
