Job Title: HSE Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Develop health, safety, and environmental processes, procedures, and guidelines on the construction site, including identifying risks and training employees on how to handle hazardous materials or situations.

Ensure all safety equipment is in good condition and available for use by all employees.

Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards and create plans to eliminate them.

Develop emergency response plans for natural disasters, fire risks, chemical spills, etc.

Maintain accident and injury logs to track trends and improve safety measures.

Create and enforce occupational health and safety standards in compliance with federal, state, and international regulations.

Monitor the work environment to ensure it is safe for employees to work.

Conduct accident investigations when accidents occur to determine causes.

Establish emergency preparedness plans to ensure the company can continue operations in the event of an emergency.

Support the HSE Manager with all safety and environmental matters.

Requirements:

A Master's Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Hygiene, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with specialization training in safety, environment, and health or environmental sciences is required.

Differential degrees or specializations may be considered if the content of the study courses is equivalent.

Construction site experience is required. Previous experience in the role and knowledge of industry standards/guidelines are also necessary.

Fluent English and Italian are required for this position.
