About the Role

The KION Group is a leading global player in the field of automated and robotized intralogistics solutions and products. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Realization to join our team.

The Project Engineer Realization is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of project realization, from the handover from sales to the handover to service. This includes technical clarification, review of concept design, detail engineering, and review of technical system risk & safety assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and coordinate the detail engineering process during the overall execution cycle.
  • Support the Project Manager during customer meetings and presentations.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to facilitate cross-functional review meetings.
  • Ensure that technical subcontract specifications and technical liaison are completed.
  • Coordinate specifications and results on customer sites.
  • Serve as the main coordinator for subcontracted engineering resources.
  • Ensure design integrity across the overall execution cycle, covering mechanical, controls, and software, and in-house factory acceptance testing.
  • Monitor and validate sub-system tests, including third-party suppliers.
  • Review and update the technical system risk & safety assessment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, and Python.
  • Knowledge of API-based on REST or SOAP technology.
  • Basic knowledge of networking.
  • IT literacy, including MS Office.
  • Confident communication skills to all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and document multiple project activities.
  • Advanced knowledge in written and spoken English.
  • Availability for travel in Italy up to 50% of the time.
