Job Overview

Acciona Energía is seeking a seasoned Site Manager to lead the MacIntyre Wind Farm, a 1,026MW renewable energy project in the southern hemisphere. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the wind farm, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a positive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operations Management: Manage all aspects of wind farm operations, including safety, compliance, and environmental concerns.
  2. Contract Management: Manage the contracting relationship with an onsite service provider who will operate and maintain the wind turbines.
  3. HSE Leadership: Cultivate a positive HSE culture on site, providing daily leadership in this area.
  4. Transition Management: Oversee the transition from construction to operational phase, ensuring a seamless handover.
  5. Operations Planning: Plan and execute all necessary operations and maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  6. Performance Optimization: Optimise production and revenue generation from the wind farm while monitoring performance against key indicators.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification in Business or Engineering disciplines.
  2. Leadership Experience: Have experience as a site manager or operational leader, showcasing strong leadership skills.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Possess a sound understanding of mechanical and electrical plant equipment, communications, and control systems as related to energy generation assets.
  4. Contract Management: Demonstrate experience in supervising subcontractors and external service providers.
  5. Relationship Management: Excel in relationship management, with the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders effectively.
