Job Summary:
Lloyds Register is seeking a highly skilled Marine Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a Marine Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets, providing expert advice to clients, and contributing to the Type Approval Process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess engineering assets for design, production, and in-service aspects, using procedures, experience, and knowledge.
- Provide expert advice to clients on engineering assets, including mechanical and electrical parts and components.
- Contribute to the Type Approval Process, performing basic quality assessments.
- Present deliverables to internal and external clients, identifying solutions as needed.
- Comply with applicable codes and standards, including LR Rules and Regulations, IACS Unified Requirements, and EN/ISO/IEC Standards.
- Identify additional business opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or marine engineering from a recognized tertiary organization.
- Minimum three years of experience in a relevant role, preferably with a marine or nautical institution.
- Sound engineering and manufacturing knowledge, with ability to enhance knowledge in various technologies.
- Proficiency in Italian and English languages, with excellent command of written and oral communication.
- European Driving License.
