Job DescriptionPermitting Manager Role

The Permitting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the permitting process for renewable energy projects, including solar and battery storage across Italy. This involves ensuring compliance with national, regional, and local regulations, as well as interacting with government authorities, environmental agencies, and internal project teams to secure necessary permits and drive project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stages of permitting from site selection through final approval.
  • Develop comprehensive permitting strategies tailored to each project's requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Italian environmental, zoning, land-use, and energy regulations.
  • Coordinate with local, regional, and national authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Review and verify all required documentation, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of permits, approvals, and correspondence with regulatory bodies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact between project teams and regulatory agencies.
  • Negotiate and facilitate discussions with local communities, environmental groups, and government officials.
  • Collaborate with legal, environmental, and engineering teams to align permitting strategies with overall project goals.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior management regarding permitting status and challenges.
