About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Grid Automation team in Genova, Italy. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing service work on Battery Energy Storage Systems and SCADA Systems, delivering quality customer service, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute service work on Battery Energy Storage Systems and SCADA Systems according to work instructions and in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes.
- Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at site or from remote.
- Identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activities in different areas (service, installation and commissioning, retrofits, technical assistance).
- Utilize the Hitachi Energy remote connection tools to collect data from the installed fleet and provide meaningful data analytics.
- Work in close cooperation with the R&D and engineering team to identify digital solutions and support the expansion of the service scope on the Hitachi Energy BESS installed base.
- Collaborate with the service engineering team to finalize spare parts list and time schedules for the planned maintenance.
- Act as resolution owner of the cases opened by the customers. Keep the assigned fleet database always up to date in terms of system configuration.
- Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
- Live core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Diploma;
- Experience of 5 years in Service;
- Experience in automation and control is nice to have;
- Good Knowledge of English and Italian;
- Ability to work in team and problem solving;
- Availability to travel between Italy and Europe (50%).
