About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Generative AI Innovation Center team at Amazon. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in researching, designing, and developing cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research and develop innovative generative AI solutions.
  • Interact with customers to understand business problems and provide guidance on adoption patterns and paths to production.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, and presentations to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product direction.

About the Team

The Generative AI Innovation Center team helps customers imagine and scope the use cases that will create the greatest value for their businesses. We provide guidance on best practices for applying generative AI responsibly and cost-efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Several years of experience in building large-scale machine learning or deep learning models.
  • Experience with data querying languages, scripting languages, or statistical/mathematical software.
  • Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods, and/or machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or a highly quantitative field.
  • Practical experience in solving complex problems in an applied environment.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning and training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models.
  • Knowledge of AWS platform and tools.
