Job Summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a skilled Hook-up Specialist to join our team in Catania, Italy. As a key contributor to our SiC Technology volume ramp-up, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition between R&D activities and mass-production fab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare specifications for the hook-up of manufacturing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and instrumental schematics.
  • Follow on the floor the equipment hook-up and installation, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Contribute to on-time execution of hook-up and installation, highlighting any deviations versus specifications and/or schedule.
  • Participate in commissioning tests to certify the compliance of the hook-up and installations during the commissioning stages of manufacturing equipment.
  • Collect and document commissioning-related information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Automation and Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Working experience in maintenance activities, preferably in electro-medical equipment, industrial facilities equipment, chemical, and gases facilities equipment.
  • Experience in companies specializing in the repair of electrical/electronic, electromechanical, and instrumental components (vacuum pumps, radio frequency generators, robotics, and automation).
  • Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and instrumental schematics.
  • Knowledge of Autocad (preferred).
  • Great attention to details.
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, synthesis, and reporting capabilities.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Good teamwork ability.
  • Ability to work by objectives.
  • Ability to train and involve technicians in continuous improvement programs.
  • Customer and service-focused approach.
