We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist - Machinery Operations to join our team at Amazon Italia Transport Srl. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage and coordinate health and safety programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize internal reporting tools to analyze data reports and identify root causes of safety-related issues, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and support on technical equipment specifications and designs, ensuring they meet Amazon's safety standards.
  • Travel: Travel within the region to support health and safety initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

A Day in the Life

This is a dynamic and varied role that requires a strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices. As a Safety Specialist - Machinery Operations, you will work closely with site managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for managing health and safety standards, improving functionality and efficiency, and supervising a team to implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously improve processes.

Our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and regulatory requirements.
