Role Overview: The IT Application Advisor is pivotal in the design and effective implementation of tailored IT solutions and applications. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of leading IT systems that facilitate business process execution. The advisor will either deploy specific projects or assist the IT Application Manager in identifying and executing projects, leveraging a strong grasp of both IT tools and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to benchmark IT solutions that enhance specific business functions and improve project delivery efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain applications, ensuring alignment with the latest feature releases.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to define project scope and business cases.
  • Coordinate project management efforts alongside the IT Application Manager.
  • Contribute expertise to project development in specialized areas.
  • Serve as an internal reference and mentor on assigned topics.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable insights for the development team.
  • Engage in interviews, document analysis, and workshops to extract requirements and develop business processes.
  • Understand and articulate business process management and customer requirements into software specifications.
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful IT solution implementation.
  • Provide support and training to key users on system functionalities.
  • Offer insights to the development team during the solution design phase to align with business needs.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from various sources to clarify user needs.
  • Deliver results through thorough research and effective communication with users.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of operational systems to implement effective enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to recommended solutions.
  • Comprehend technical designs and specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external clients regarding functional requirements.
  • Design and execute test scripts and scenarios.
  • Exhibit project management skills, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of IT Application Specialists and Analysts.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Economics or Engineering.
  • Proven experience in project development.
  • Familiarity with key IT solutions relevant to the business sector.
  • Understanding of business processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Extensive experience with ERP business modules.
  • Solid experience with technical tools integrated into IT applications.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role within a complex multinational environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive approach to challenges.
  • Capability to manage complexity and perform under pressure.
