Role Overview: The Industrial Engineer will be tasked with organizing both preventive and corrective maintenance operations within depots and workshops that focus on the upkeep of rolling stock.
The selected candidate will report directly to the Industrial Manager and will work closely with Depot Managers and the local operational teams, providing consistent support to the depots under their jurisdiction across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate maintenance strategies and plans into effectively organized work methods, ensuring worker safety and process control.
- Maximize performance in executing maintenance activities while improving lead times for task completion.
- Analyze operational performance to pinpoint areas for enhancement in existing maintenance processes, adhering to Continuous Improvement principles and Lean methodologies.
- Define and monitor KPIs essential for assessing performance and identifying potential improvement areas.
- Play a crucial role in implementing kaizen events aimed at reducing non-value-added activities.
Main Activities Include:
- Review maintenance plan requirements.
- Create and validate process documentation (Standard Operation Sheet).
- Identify necessary tools and materials, from technical specifications to field validation.
- Organize facility layouts, including workstations and material flows.
- Collaborate with project teams to determine optimal strategies for resource utilization.
- Ensure all maintenance activities align with Alstom's standard requirements.
- Manage documentation on SAP Railsys (task lists, materials lists, tools lists).
- Validate defined processes in the field with operations teams.
- Oversee supplier management for key equipment creation.
- Analyze and implement actions to enhance project performance.
- Adhere to assigned budgets.
- Develop business cases for evaluating investment plans and implementing Make or Buy strategies.
Qualifications:
We seek professionals with a degree in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structured and productive industrial environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Industry techniques, excellent analytical skills, and effective teamwork capabilities with diverse company functions. Proficiency in the English language is also required.
This position will serve as the industrialization reference point for Regional & Loco Maintenance Operations Projects.
Willingness to travel, primarily within the national territory, for at least 50% of the time is essential.
