About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operability Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As an Operability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our rolling stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational needs and define the operability, usability, and maintainability of our rolling stock to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Identify operability context and perform analysis of source requirements regarding operation within that context.
- Manage gaps in the analysis and collaborate with project teams to define operational use cases and human interfaces.
- Verify operability analysis process outcomes using modeling and simulation means.
- Assist System Engineers in allocating derived requirements to subsystems and provide support on operability-related questions.
- Exchange knowledge with the operability-related community to grow operability knowledge.
Requirements
- Master of Engineering from a University with a minimum of five years of experience in engineering.
- Working experience in system engineering on large-scale projects at various stages in the project lifecycle and within railway operators, maintainers, or manufacturers.
- Experience with different product types, including regional trains and main lines.
- Awareness of different railway operability aspects, including operational environment, operational needs, and operability procedures.
- Ability to analyze and understand complex systems engineering cases.
- Technical writing, requirement elicitation, and formalization skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with external stakeholders.
- Good communication skills in English.
