About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Process Expert to join our team at Alstom's Savigliano site in Italy. As a key member of our industrial team, you will be responsible for coordinating the industrial control of special processes during various phases of product development, manufacturing, and warranty.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate industrial control of special processes during tender phase, product development, industrialization, manufacturing, and warranty.
  2. Define and validate detailed manufacturing processes for new products.
  3. Perform industrial documentation, define industrial master data, and set manufacturing method times.
  4. Drive continuous improvement actions and industrialize product and process changes in serial phase.
  5. Contribute to tender phase, especially in product design and industrialization, to optimize costs and minimize risks.
  6. Contribute to specification and design phases to technical solution decisions associated with special processes.
  7. Build SP REX and interact with product engineering to redirect design if necessary.
  8. Manage industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plans.
  9. Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start production.
  10. Qualify the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design.
  11. Support sourcing and SQD teams in suppliers' qualification and quality follow-up for suppliers concerned by SP.
  12. Contribute to development of local suppliers.
  13. Manage evolution of quality control process dedicated to SP.
  14. Ensure deployment and validation of new processes in line with project planning.
  15. Issue relevant documents in the Quality System.
  16. Manage technicians under your responsibility.
  17. Perform Transfer of Technology on SP: documentation, process, and means validation, training.
  18. Train workers, EPU managers, and Industrial Quality Inspectors to execute SP.
  19. Ensure continuous training and permanent qualification of workers to PS.
  20. Train support functions to business rules linked to PS (Engineering, PME, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality).
  21. Guarantee internal control and good application of process rules in line with customers' requirements.
  22. Perform internal and external audits.
  23. Ensure day-to-day monitoring of SP business rules and solve issues concerning SP.
  24. In case of non-conformity or incident, investigate root causes, find, and implement repair solutions.
  25. Demonstrate QCD and EHS improvement linked to SP through efficient action plans.
  26. Measure performance linked with site industrial objectives and through APSYS audit for instance.
  27. Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crises.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in process engineering, mechanical, electrical, or chemical.
  • Training and qualification by a third party for PS if necessary (e.g., welding).
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the industrial field.
  • Practice the special process in question from 2 to 5 years (execution, definition, qualification).
  • Good teaching skills (able to provide training to a group of trainees).
  • Good English knowledge.
