About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at sennder, a leading digital freight forwarder. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple datasets to ensure the set of default negotiated tariffs are properly reflected into our administrative process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run procurement administrative tasks, including tariff management, monitoring deviations from standard tariffs, and providing advice on any queries or disputes associated with tariffs, monthly FSC calculations, and other related tasks.
  • Support carrier compliance (DURC procedure) and contracting (sourcing and document preparation).
  • Run ad-hoc cost analysis to support pricing.
  • Monitor actuals vs budget and track savings.
  • Support negotiation with carriers, focusing on RFQs preparation and analysis of RFQs responses.
  • Generate data reports on a periodic basis for management.
  • Monthly update of carrier scorecard to prepare for carrier QBR.
  • Support the development of process improvements to ensure visibility and traceability.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Rigorous and methodical approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods, if required.
  • Attitude to work as part of a team to build consensus and achieve goals with a passion for excellence and commitment to results.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or another quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics and distribution.
  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken English and Italian are mandatory, and any other languages would be advantageous.
