About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at sennder Italia, a joint venture company between sennder and Poste Italiane. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple datasets to ensure the set of default negotiated tariffs are properly reflected into our administrative process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Administration: Run Procurement admin tasks including tariff management, monitoring deviations from standard tariffs, and providing advice on any query or dispute associated with tariffs, monthly FSC calculations, etc.
  • Carrier Compliance and Contracting: Support on carrier compliance (DURC procedure) and contracting (sourcing and document preparation).
  • Cost Analysis and Savings: Run ad-hoc cost analysis for supporting Pricing and monitoring actuals vs budget and track savings.
  • Negotiation and Reporting: Support on negotiation with carriers, with a particular focus on RFQs preparation, and analysis of RFQs responses. Generate data reports on a periodic basis for management.
  • Carrier Scorecard and Process Improvement: Monthly update of carrier scorecard oriented to the preparation of carrier QBR and support on developing process improvements to ensure visibility and traceability.
Requirements
  • Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel/Google Sheet.
  • Rigorous and Methodical Approach: Rigorous and methodical approach.
  • Handling Multiple Demands: Successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a fast-paced and start-up environment.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods, if requested, and attitude to work as part of a team to build consensus and achieve goals with the passion for excellence and commitment for results.
  • Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or another quantitative field. 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferably within logistics & distribution.
  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken English & Italian is mandatory, and any other languages would be advantageous.
