Role Summary

The Food Security Cluster is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will play a critical role in strengthening system-wide preparedness and technical capacity to respond to humanitarian emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement emergency response strategies and plans to ensure effective humanitarian response.
  • Coordinate with cluster partners to establish and maintain humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analysis to inform emergency response decisions.
  • Ensure the use of common standards and harmonization of programmatic responses.
  • Provide situational updates to stakeholders and ensure effective decision-making.
  • Identify capacity gaps and provide training and capacity building opportunities to cluster partners.
  • Support the mobilization of resources for effective and sustainable coordination.

Leadership and Management

  • Serve as a key advisor to management on emergency response coordination.
  • Lead and motivate a team to enable high performance.
  • Take responsibility for an equitable and inclusive workplace.

Requirements
