Integration Architect

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Application Integration Architect.

As a crucial member of our central Integration Team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, designing, and overseeing all activities related to the integration of software applications, programs, and third-party solutions to fulfill the business needs of the organization. This role also involves creating and maintaining a comprehensive application integration architecture blueprint for the company.

The position will be part of the European Application team and will report directly to the Head of Data Analytics & Integration. Occasional participation in other projects may be required to provide technical support to various teams, and travel within Europe may be necessary from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain an integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
  • Ensure alignment of integration planning and practices with strategic business objectives and the overall vision of the company.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of technical solutions, translating complex analytics-derived insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business users.
  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software across the enterprise.
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of RESTful services (APIs) in accordance with integration architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define requirements for integration requests and ensure that integration projects meet business goals and user needs.
  • Manage both internal resources and externally sourced team members, providing guidance to junior team members as necessary.
  • Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Establish standards and processes to support integration projects and initiatives.
  • Work with analysts, designers, and system owners in testing newly integrated software applications.
  • Build relationships with vendors of application software to understand and provide feedback on their technical integration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner(s) to shape the end-to-end product strategy and assess business value.
  • Research and recommend integration products and services to support procurement and development efforts, analyzing emerging technologies to influence project solutions.
  • Provide established guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions.

Qualifications:

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, such as an Enterprise Architect or Integration Architect. Relevant certifications are desirable.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
  • Experience in linking cross-functional applications across different business units and systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of core software applications, including MuleSoft and Microsoft Azure API Management Services.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration practices (Azure DevOps).
  • Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications, such as CRM or ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques, with excellent SQL skills (T-SQL preferred).
  • Web development experience (C# / .NET) is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and traditional waterfall approaches.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interface with high-level business owners, key users, and IT specialists.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude focused on results.
