About the Role

The Contract and Legal Claim Manager will become a key member of the Claim Department at Maire Tecnimont. This individual will provide vital assistance to project teams working worldwide with contractual and legal advice and drafting of critical correspondence, change orders, and claims.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze information, gather appropriate argumentation and evidence for drafting claims/changes/rebuttals, with the support of project teams.
  • Analyze contract language, determine proper interpretation, and apply to facts.
  • Assist the Contract Manager/Subcontract Administration Manager/Material Supply Manager and project team members in defining and preparing the legal and contractual aspects of critical correspondence with Clients, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
  • Develop legal research and analysis concerning a variety of legal issues.
  • Cooperate with the Legal Affairs and Contracts Department in the selection and management of external lawyers needed to prepare legal opinions.
  • Interface effectively with project teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Laws in Italy.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction law and claim preparation.
  • Fluent English speaker and writer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Availability to travel abroad.
  • Team-working skills.
  • Flexibility and desire to get involved.
  • Self-motivated achiever.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
