Project Overview:
Engage in the exploration of LINE-1 retrotransposons functioning as long non-coding RNAs, focusing on their roles in brain development and associated disorders.
Contract Details:
This position is offered as a collaboration contract with a duration of 24 months.
Location:
CHT Center for Human Technologies – Genoa.

Your Team:
You will collaborate within a diverse and multidisciplinary team comprising molecular biologists, genomic technologists, and computational scientists, each contributing their unique expertise to collective research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of RNA-protein interaction networks, perform nanopore sequencing, and manage neuronal cell cultures.
- Foster a constructive and collaborative working atmosphere.
- Engage in effective communication and teamwork with colleagues.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in molecular biology, genomics, neurobiology, or a related field.
- A solid foundation in molecular biology.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in brain histochemistry, primary neuron cultures, and/or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics and data analysis.
