Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation and Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the head of NDT systems and integrations sales, collaborating with both internal and external partners to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of large-scale NDT solutions at client locations. Your expertise will also be essential in conducting feasibility studies for new applications and implementing necessary corrective measures to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Refine and enhance PLC programs and HMIs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, and others).
  • Participate actively in the installation of new systems alongside the project team, assisting in the adjustment and testing of automation software and hardware.
  • Oversee and execute automation projects, ensuring alignment with technological advancements.
  • Propose and integrate innovative developments in system automation.
  • Guide the technological direction of automation platform developments.
  • Comprehend application requirements across various technologies.
  • Deliver maintenance training to clients.
  • Contribute to the design of electrical schematics for automation components.
  • Support after-sales service initiatives.
  • Be present on-site during system installations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies in collaboration with NDT specialists.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients regarding maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in programming industrial automation equipment or systems installation.
  • Basic knowledge of robotic programming and C++/C# (.Net).
  • Familiarity with NDT, ultrasound, or eddy current techniques is advantageous.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Strong ability to manage customer-supplier relationships.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance procedures for electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to train personnel on maintenance tasks while focusing on achieving objectives.
  • Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Creative, autonomous, and proactive in approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 50%, for extended periods if necessary.
