Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Lee Health. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and families in our Pediatric Specialties and Urgent Care Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and document safe patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with physicians, practice leadership, and other care team members.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of nursing care delivered in the practice setting or telephonically, ensuring effective and efficient care that achieves desired patient outcomes.
  • Support and guide the care team in collaboration with practice and physician leadership based on the treatment plan, established clinical nursing practice standards, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the provision of quality care in the office setting through excellence in customer service and utilization of performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Requirements
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelors preferred.
  • Office/outpatient experience preferred. Experience requirements may vary by department.
  • Certification in Ambulatory Nursing preferred. Certification requirements may vary by department.
  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • Above-average communication skills. Adaptable and participative with technology changes.
