Unleash Your Creativity Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Sound Technician to enhance the auditory experience on our vessels. This role is crucial in ensuring that performances resonate beautifully, providing an enjoyable sound experience for all attendees.

Key Duties
  • Managing the entertainment audio equipment, always recognizing that it is the property of the vessel and is operated under the supervision of the Engine Department.
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols on board, understanding that any improper handling or alteration of circuits can lead to significant risks and potential harm to personnel.
  • Primarily overseeing the sound console in the Theatre during performances and various events, while also being accountable for the sound systems in lounges, even if utilized by the Lounge Technician.
  • Supporting Artists, Musicians, Cruise Staff, Hosts/Hostesses, and Lecturers by preparing technical equipment and ensuring sound quality is appropriate for each specific event.
  • Communicating any equipment issues to the Head Technician, in line with Company protocols.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and equipment storage areas. Always demonstrating utmost respect for the equipment, ensuring that no items are left unattended that could be misplaced, stolen, or damaged.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma; specialization in sound engineering is advantageous.
  • Experience in large-scale productions, theaters, or related services.
  • Strong understanding of audio systems, mixing consoles, audio editing, and live sound mixing.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Good command of the English language.
