Key Responsibilities
As an AWS Data Engineer at NTT DATA, you will engage in AWS Data Platform projects, collaborating closely with business analysts and solution architects to comprehend use cases, data requirements, and desired outcomes. Your contributions will include:
- Delivering data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning applications.
- Assessing the current application infrastructure and recommending enhancements.
- Documenting best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure upkeep.
- Executing infrastructure migrations with zero downtime to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Establishing a monitoring stack, utilizing tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
- Defining service capacity planning strategies.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines using the AWS CI/CD stack.
- Writing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cloud-native environment, preferably with AWS.
- Expertise in Big Data Architectures, both cloud-based and on-premise.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes; experience with ECS/EKS is advantageous.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures utilizing AWS Lambda.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, including IAM Roles and KMS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking.
- Experience in migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
- Proficient in monitoring distributed infrastructures using AWS tools or open-source alternatives.
- Demonstrated programming skills in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
- AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Developer are preferred.
