About the Role

Primark, a leading international fashion retail company, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Expansion Manager to join its Property team in Milan Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and provide Primark with advice on finding and acquiring suitable sites for new store openings in Italy, and manage existing property assets once acquired.
  • Assess and select new store locations, and manage the acquisition process from initial site feasibility and assessment to completion.
  • Collect necessary information and present detailed site selection recommendations to the Property Executive.
  • Work closely with Primark's project personnel to ensure new locations are successfully brought into operation.
  • Negotiate terms for new stores and instruct lawyers until the closing of the transaction.
  • Liaise with the Data Manager to keep the property database system up to date and ensure all leases are set up on time.
  • Manage lease extensions, rent reviews, and existing portfolio.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge and expertise on property issues and changes in property law and planning policy.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the retail/real estate industry.
  • Established network of landlord, developer, and agency contacts.
  • Good working knowledge of High Streets and Shopping Centres in Italy.
  • Financial and legal knowledge related to retail/real estate transactions.
  • Excellent English knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in negotiating retail lease agreements.
  • High energy, flexible, results-oriented, self-starting individual.
  • Problem-solving and organizing skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong computer and IT literacy skills.
