How you will make a difference
- This role focuses on Financial Lines, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in managing and investigating complex claims. The objective is to address legitimate claims through a proactive, best practice approach, in accordance with AIG's quality standards – you will actively promote and exemplify the principles of 'Treating Customers Fairly' in claims management.
- You will also consistently identify and evaluate suspect or fraudulent claims, addressing such matters in alignment with our clear guidelines.
- Your responsibilities will involve regular communication with internal stakeholders and brokers, (medical) experts, clients' attorneys, victims, or their legal representatives. Building effective relationships with both internal and external customers is essential, as you will serve as a point of referral.
- There will be opportunities to expand your experience by supporting Team Managers and stepping in during their absence. For instance, you will assist in monitoring market and industry practices in claims management.
- Additionally, you can leverage the claims experience you acquire to contribute to product improvements in collaboration with underwriting colleagues.
What you will need to excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation/procedural requirements for Financial Lines.
- Specialized knowledge of Financial Lines technical claims topics.
- Some experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
- Policy language skills that enable accurate and consistent interpretation of policy wording.
- Creative thinking and the ability to problem-solve and develop innovative ideas to enhance working practices.
- Strong communication, time management, administrative, and report-writing abilities.
