Position Overview
As a Logistics Carrier Analyst, you will play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge procurement solutions tailored for the regional market. Your responsibilities will include generating KPI reports aimed at achieving ongoing cost efficiencies and meeting customer service standards.
You will serve as the primary daily liaison for transport providers, Supply Chain Planning, and Supply Chain Execution concerning transport sourcing and carrier performance evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Carrier Manager in formulating and executing both national and local freight procurement and transport sourcing strategies.
- Aid the Carrier Manager in initiating and developing bidding events and finalizing routing guides within the Transport Management System (TMS), analyzing cost outcomes and proposing enhancements.
- Support the Carrier Manager in onboarding new transport providers.
- Promote continuous improvement in service delivery and cost reduction, consistently seeking methods to enhance our operational processes.
- Facilitate the standardization of transporter procedures and performance metrics.
- Encourage the adoption of digitization initiatives.
- Monitor, manage, analyze, and critically assess carrier performance, including rates, capacity, and service commitments.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of Customer and Retailer Collaboration initiatives.
- Provide assistance for projects related to carrier management.
- Maintain carrier information within CHEP systems (Blue Yonder).
- Analyze service disruptions and proactively suggest improvements.
- Support the Carrier Manager in ensuring compliance with transporter safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with logistics processes.
- Understanding of fundamental principles in Supply Chain, Transport, or Logistics functions.
- Experience in a results-driven, customer-centric environment.
- Strong negotiation capabilities.
- Proficient analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Lean Transport Management Systems (desirable but not mandatory as training will be provided).
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a matrix structure and multicultural setting.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English and Italian is required.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Experience Level:
1 - 3 years in a relevant field. Hybrid remote work options available.
