Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for deploying commodity strategies, ensuring project execution in line with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives, and piloting local contractual relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commodity Strategy Deployment: Identify project and business needs, prepare and launch Request For Quotation with suppliers, and negotiate cost reduction with suppliers.
- Project Execution: Ensure project execution in line with QCD objectives, provide inputs for order placement, and manage initial issues before escalation to line manager.
- Supplier Management: Lead supplier QCD performance reviews, manage CONQ (Cost Of Non Quality) & claims management, and respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines.
- Commodity Support: Consolidate commodity needs, actively participate in commodity strategy and panel elaboration, support Commodity Manager in the tender phase, and represent commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions.
- Teamwork: Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving, apply Alstom Sourcing processes, and provide return on experience.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Environment Knowledge: Installations activities environment knowledge is a must.
- Business Type: Experience in Signaling and Infrastructure / Civil works companies is very welcome.
- Education: Business school or Engineering degree.
- Language: Fluent English and international background are a must.
- Skills: Good interpersonal skills.
