Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Product Validation Specialist with expertise in embedded electronics to join our Integrated System Product Development team. As a Product Validation Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our AI-integrated systems through comprehensive testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Hardware Testing
    • Develop and execute validation test plans for embedded hardware solutions, including microprocessors and their related power supply architecture.
    • Conduct functional testing, performance testing, and reliability testing of hardware components to ensure they meet design specifications.
    • Utilize testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic and protocol analyzers, for comprehensive hardware validation.
  • Software Testing
    • Develop and execute software test plans and test cases for embedded systems, focusing on AI applications, firmware, and device drivers.
    • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of embedded software to verify functionality, performance, and interoperability.
    • Utilize scripting languages or automation tools to create scalable and repeatable test frameworks.
  • Technical Collaboration and Issue Resolution
    • Collaborate with hardware design engineers and software developers to understand system architecture and enhance testing methodologies.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed feedback for improvement.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Recommendations
    • Analyze test results, identifying nuanced root causes for discrepancies or failures.
    • Provide detailed technical recommendations and solutions for product enhancements based on findings from validation processes.
  • Process Optimization
    • Refine and optimize validation processes by integrating new tools, frameworks, or technologies to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Comprehensive Documentation and Reporting
    • Generate detailed technical reports documenting validation procedures, findings, and debugging methodologies used during the validation process.
    • Create technical documentation outlining testing scenarios, results, and technical insights for stakeholders and for future reference.
  • Adherence to Technical Standards and Compliance
    • Ensure strict adherence to technical standards, protocols, and industry best practices during all validation activities.
    • Validate AI systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and technical compliance benchmarks.
  • Continuous Technical Learning and Development
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies within the domain of software testing and validation.
    • Participate in technical workshops, seminars, or courses to enhance technical skills and expand knowledge in relevant areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in testing and validation of embedded electronics.
  • Experience with hardware testing methodologies, including functional testing, performance testing, and reliability testing.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of high-level testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, with specific focus on software.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as bash, C/C++, and Python, and experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with issue-tracking tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for embedded systems, such as EMC/EMI testing and safety certifications.
