Geneve Int is seeking a highly skilled Senior Language Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and stylistically appropriate translations into Spanish of texts written mainly in English for distribution to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revising translations, including summary records, prepared by staff at lower levels and/or by freelance and contractual translators.
- Carrying out linguistic research and assisting in compiling, developing, and maintaining a uniform terminology suitable for translation of our documentation.
- Keeping abreast of developments in new digital tools to support language services delivery.
- Managing and implementing new digital tools to support language services delivery.
- Ensuring integrity, transparency, and equity in the management of our resources.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Translation, revision, and self-revision of texts covering a broad range of subjects.
- Researching points of terminology, language, and subject matter.
- Managing a team of language unit members.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) from an accredited institution in a job-related field.
- At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience in translation and revision of technical texts.
- Good working knowledge of standard MS Office applications and ability to work with new digital tools.
- Excellent command of Spanish (perfect command or should be the mother tongue) and English (4 Excellent).
- Excellent command of French or Arabic is an asset.
Working Conditions:
Geneve Int staff members are international civil servants subject to the authority of the President of Geneve Int. All International Professional staff members are required to be geographically mobile.
Contract Type: Staff (Permanent and Fixed Term)
Duration: 2 years
