Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer/Engineer to enhance our international team in Frascati, Rome. This role focuses on our Space services, particularly in the realm of data payload systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to translate user requirements into effective software solutions while maintaining a structured approach to documentation and software configurations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain systems for monitoring and controlling end-to-end performance of PDGS or similar systems.
  • Manage anomalies and address problem resolutions.
  • Review and edit technical and project documentation.
  • Oversee software configuration control and packaging of installation kits.
  • Create and package software installation kits.
  • Administer and operate Kubernetes environments.
  • Support during audits and regular meetings.
  • Generate service and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with relevant validation services and operational teams to prepare for the Transfer to Operations.

Required Technical Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PHP, Javascript, Java, Python, and HTML development.
  • Solid understanding of Docker environments.
  • Proficient in writing technical documentation, including notes, minutes, requirements, and architectural designs.
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Grafana and other dashboard tools.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and VMWare virtual environments.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and processes.
  • Experience with anomaly management, system design, and software validation best practices.
  • Working experience with complex systems in ground segment contexts.
  • Experience in setting up virtual environments on both physical and cloud platforms is advantageous.
