Job Summary
The Simulator Technician Co-Op Position at CAE is an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in technical operations and maintenance. As a cooperative technician, you will work closely with our team to perform routine technical tasks, receive training, and develop your skills in laboratory, office, and field settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine technical tasks on site, in field or laboratory, under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Receive comprehensive training in various phases of laboratory, office, and field technical work.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems.
- Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities.
- Complete designated training activities and develop skills in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guides (QTGs) and perform basic visual alignments.
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with CAE's quality management system.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in technical operations and maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
- Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
- Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
- Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
- Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Education
2-year technical degree or 4 years in an electronic, avionic, or technical related field.

Milan.
Internship Details
This internship will be carried out in person.
All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Italy.
