Role Overview:
As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will serve as a vital Business Partner to the Local Sales and Commercial Teams, as well as the Regional Business & Finance Teams, focusing on driving profitable sales growth. This position is essential for providing financial insights to the Local Consumer business and will involve collaboration with various stakeholders at the local, Shared Service Centre, and European HQ levels.
Team Structure:
You will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis Sales - Southern Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Business Support for the Greek team includes:
- Acting as a Finance Business Partner to the Commercial Team, assisting in managing the product portfolio and assessing local initiatives.
- Collaborating on Joint Business Plans and providing Customer Thought Leadership support to create effective business strategies that align with SCJ’s goals for profitable growth.
- Analyzing trade spending plans with the Sales team to optimize Trade Spending and Customer Mix, enhancing Net Pricing.
- Supporting marketing and commercial teams during new product launches and contributing to pricing strategy and promotional equity allocation.
- Participating actively in the monthly S&OP cycle through detailed analysis and improving forecast accuracy.
- Evaluating and optimizing promotional expenditures to enhance ROI, in partnership with Customer Marketing and Sales Teams.
- Conducting thorough analysis of monthly results and ensuring business partners are kept informed on performance and forecasts.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, along with forecasts and re-estimates.
- Coordinating the monthly S&OP financial process with key stakeholders, translating forecasts into precise financial projections, and developing contingency plans.
- Driving simplification initiatives and sharing best practices in collaboration with the Cluster Finance team.
- Facilitating the phase-in/phase-out of new products, minimizing obsolescence, and proposing alternative strategies for stock management.
- Ensuring that processes and controls are effective within the sales control environment.
- Improving Accounts Receivable by collaborating with the SSC A/R team and local Sales Teams to resolve outstanding invoices efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with SOAR/GIA policies and accounting standards.
- Addressing ad-hoc queries as they arise.
Qualifications:
- A degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in Commercial Controlling, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with USGAAP.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Project Management experience is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
