About the Role:

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our Global Development team in the EMEA division. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support for our wind farm development projects, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on energy regulatory laws, permits, property law, and project agreements related to wind farm development.
  • Support the development team in reviewing country-specific regulatory regimes to ensure Vestas' compliance with local laws.
  • Review and negotiate land lease contracts, permits, and concessions related to wind turbines, electrical substations, and other infrastructure.
  • Assist in the revision of agreements related to grid connection, service, and procurement.
  • Identify and manage project risks and liability issues, communicating them to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage and manage external lawyers across various practice areas, including M&A, tax, permitting, environmental, and interconnection.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law from an Italian university and a Master's degree required for the Italian bar exam.
  • At least 3 years of experience practicing law in the renewable energy industry and M&A activities, preferably within a renewable energy operator or law firm.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, with Spanish being a valuable addition.
  • Flexibility to travel based on company needs and goals.
