Job Description

Job Title: Container Ship Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Container Ship Operations Specialist to join our team at ManpowerGroup. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the movement of container ships, ro-ro, and rail operations within our port facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vessel and train scheduling to ensure efficient operations
  • Coordinate with yard management to plan and allocate resources
  • Transmit operational instructions to operational departments
  • Coordinate between ship/train operations and the yard
  • Manage external traffic flows for ro-ro operations
  • Manage correspondence with external parties, including agencies and customs
  • Manage documents, including ro-ro, container, and train records
  • Manage disembarkation/embarkation lists, ship and train lists, and unit blocking or release notices
  • Manage requests for ancillary services, such as customs visits and VGM
  • Process data for accurate customer invoicing

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in vessel/train/yard planning (preferred)
  • Previous experience in shipping agencies and/or in port sector (preferred)
  • Fluent written and oral English (other languages are a plus)
  • Good Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work shifts, including night shifts and weekends, and flexible hours
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Driving license (B)
