We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at nVent. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in advancing our success and driving innovation in the electrical solutions space.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Technical Requirements: Interpret specifications and technical documentation to define project technical requirements for EHT Electrical Heat Tracing projects.
- Collaborate with Design Centers: Work with internal Design Centers to meet project schedule and budgetary constraints.
- Project Monitoring and Progress: Regularly monitor project progress against initial agreed schedules, initiating corrective measures as necessary to ensure deadlines are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
- Design Electrical Solutions: Design electrical power and control solutions that meet project requirements.
- Equipment Specification: Ensure all bought-out equipment associated with projects is correctly specified.
- Technical Bid Analysis: Complete Technical Bid Analysis for bought-out equipment and lead technical discussions with vendors as appropriate.
- Vendor Design Document Review: Check and approve vendor design documents to ensure they meet project requirements and nVent standards.
- Factory Acceptance Tests: Attend Factory Acceptance Tests at vendors' works to ensure equipment is built and tested to appropriate standards and documents.
- Engineering Design Discussions: Represent nVent in engineering design discussions with clients and subcontractors.
- Development and Improvement Initiatives: Participate in development and improvement initiatives, undertaking internal and external training and product awareness.
- Travel Requirements: Willing and able to spend time away from the home office at client offices or other nVent Thermal Management locations.
- Academic Background: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in engineering activities, preferably in a process environment (Oil, Gas, or Petrochemical/Power industries), typically 5-10 years.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of electrical power distribution, control, and monitoring, piping, hazardous area classification (ATEX and IEC norms), computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office programs, and fluency in English language (oral and written). Good knowledge of Italian language is mandatory.
- Personal Qualities: Self-starter, self-motivated, detail-oriented, good communicator, dynamic and decisive personality, practical approach, able to work independently, excellent communication skills, and skills of persuasion.
- Full Driving License: Possession of a full driving license.
