Pfizer is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and innovative Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) Line Manager for the Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) Medical Affairs SC Department.

The recruitment of the I&I MAS Line Manager aligns with our commitment to fostering growth and development, enabling leadership in scientific innovation within our I&I Therapeutic Areas (TA).

Reporting to the Italy Specialty Care Medical Lead, the I&I MAS Line Manager will play a pivotal role in the coordination of Medical Affairs Scientists across Dermatology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology TAs.

Essential qualities for a successful candidate include collaboration across functions, creativity, solution-oriented thinking, and strong leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on prioritizing and focusing strategies based on specific asset requirements. These strategies will support Pfizer's vision of being a trusted partner that delivers breakthroughs for patients.

Responsibilities of the Role

Establish strategic and significant objectives for the team in alignment with company goals and Medical Affairs Strategy. Develop and execute the M2M action plan in accordance with Medical Affairs Strategies (both local and global). Oversee team support for scientific congresses and satellite symposia, including attendance coordination and follow-up, as well as promotional materials review. Manage budget responsibilities, including supervision of expense reports and medical product budgets. Lead medical activities at the national level in relation to the TA strategy. Organize consulting processes within the team and liaise with headquarters (Medical and Commercial functions). Provide scientific and medical data to leading health professionals to support decision-making by institutions and stakeholders. Collaborate with clinical operations to select research locations in accordance with Pfizer SOPs and Policies.

Qualifications and Skills

Medical Degree is required. Strongly preferred: Relevant cross-TA experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Experience in clinical research is highly desirable. Previous team leadership experience is preferred. Proven scientific and technical expertise, including management of clinical studies and advisory boards. Project management skills are essential. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix environment. Proficiency in English and the local language is required.
