We are seeking a highly skilled Production Quality Manager to join our team at Abb E-Mobility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a culture of zero defect and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control plans and processes for production operations.
- Define, implement, and manage test protocols to ensure full test coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections and product line audits to verify adherence to quality standards at each stage of the production process.
- Lead and motivate a team of quality engineers, including functional coordination of resources allocated in North America.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to quality protocols.
- Collaborate with production managers and leaders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality.
- Analyze production data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators related to product quality, including cost of poor quality.
- Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications.
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven track record in quality management, particularly in the realm of production processes.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, including fluency in both written and verbal English and Italian.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and methodologies.
- Strong familiarity with ISO-9001 standards.
- Certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma or ASQ.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and production environments within the power electronics business or automotive industry.
